Monday, 21st March 2011 promises to be a day of historic proportions in the Bahamas. It seems events around this whole BTC, URCA, Cable & Wireless and The Government controversy are reaching a climax.
Pastors are having several days of prayer for the nation, ahead of this date
Opponents against the Sale are organizing the biggest protest yet. They are predicting over 10,000 people. Will you be there? Can they actually bring that number to Bay street?
The PM has launched a salvo across the bow of any in his cabinet who are thinking of voting against the sale. He has basically threatened them; toe the party line or else. Will anyone dare join Branville McCartney in his defiance of “Papa”?
Bamboo Town’s MP Branville McCartney will finally have to face the music and reveal his decision on the sale of BTC. He is between a rock and a hard place;
- Vote for the sale and he loses the support and admiration of many Bahamians
- Vote against the sale and he will be kicked out of the party… and still not accomplish anything, unless 3 others join him.
Monday will be a day of that will be recorded in the annals of Bahamian History one way or another.
- It will be the day that our government makes a devastating mistake that will be felt by generations of Bahamians to come
- It will be the day that Bahamians w0ke up from their apathy and said enough is enough.
I intend to be on Bay Street Monday morning. Will you join me?
