When the news that the NSA was recording every single phone call of every person in The Bahamas broke I was shocked and quite upset. But surprisingly, most Bahamians just shrugged.
I think the feeling was, “What can we do? Its the US; they’re bigger, stronger, more important than we are and we depend on them for so much”.
Most people just carried on as usual. I don’t think there was a single protest outside the US Embassy. Disappointing.
So I’m interested to see what position the Bahamas Government takes now that the report is in The PMs Hands according to this article in the Tribune
