Cecil is one of the many interesting Bahamians I’ve met on Facebook. His commentary and devil’s advocate questions have a way of cutting through to the heart of current events in a way that makes you laugh and think at the same time. Which is one reason his status updates usually lead to long discussions on the topic of the day. I honestly wish I could turn a phrase the way he does.
Cecil Newry lives in Fox Hill, The Bahamas. He studied Business Management at the College of the Bahamas, and now works in tourism, managing a small restaurant. He is an avid socio-political commentator, who maintains a colourful, controversial, interactive blog on face book. Email email@example.com
Grisel E. Knowles
Grisel is another one of the interesting people I have connected with as a result of social media. In the aftermath of The Marco Archer murder I came across her company’s page on Facebook called See No Evil.
See No Evil advocates for child safety, especially from molestation and abuse. It is personal with Grisel, being a survivor of child molestation, she has taken on the worthy task of educating and hopefully helping to prevent more child abuse in The Bahamas.
When I posted the open invitation to publish and article on this blog about any topic you are passionate about, Sheleta is one of the Many who responded. Her article on debates is very much in line with what i’m thinking and what this blog hopes to accomplish. I hope to see more articles to from Sheleta in the future.
